Found this Kennedy in a customer wrapped roll, I need some professional input.

When I picked up the roll I could feel it through the wrapper. The paper was worn almost through as well. I thought it would be a broadstrike but when I took it out I saw the reeding.

If it is PMD, whats your best guess how it was done. The coin is flattened and the relief is low. The edges look gound down on both obverse and reverse but the reeding is sharp. The weight is 11.3 grams.

Bottom two pictures have a regular Kennedy placed on top so the reeding sticks out evenly all around.

Don't think this point came through clearly in the OP. The coins diameter is bigger than a standard half dollar. When holding a stack of coins the edges stick out noticeably. The coin is not warped or bent so it was not any crude type of smashing. The relief does not look as if has been pressed.
Rest in Peace

I agree with you that it is PMD. There are only certain things that can happen in the minting process. Outside of the mint there are thousands and thousands of things that can happen to coins (on purpose and by accident). Error collectors study the minting process to determine minting errors. My advise is don't worry about how a coin received it's damage from PMD. Sometimes you can give a good guess but you will never know for sure and in the end it really doesn't matter. Just my opinion.
