What would you consider the grade of this V nickel? I think it is better than what is marked.

VF-30 IMO but I can't see the fine hair details to see if it's better. Sorry but it isn't the prettiest coin out there.

VF detail, looks to have suffered some type of environmental damage. Possibly a dug coin ?

VF technically due to overall wear ... but 'not gradable' to a TPG standard due to what appears to be surface corrosion issues.

I don't know about the corrosion. I am seeing a lot of crud and PVC. I wonder what it would look like soaking it in acetone and distilled water for several days would do for it? I would do it but it was part of a lot and may want to sell it.

VF-30 for me as well. I also agree with crud and possible PVC "poisoning".

I think you'd see a big benefit from an acetone soak.

Yes, I am soaking it now since even if I decide to sell this, I don't want people confusing crud or PVC with something else. Even though people state here what they think, if I listed it on ebay, people would simply not bid. I am already seeing a significant difference. I notice some of the stuff moved when I pushed it so if it does that, it is not corrosion. If it is PVC damage like I suspect though, it will come off. I will post another picture when I am done.

Do you see some improvement. I see the environmental damage but at least the crud doesn't amplify it.
