Here's a pretty interesting coin. Apparently, the 1/2 was repunched as a "1" Centavo, but they also made an error in the date, flipping the 9 so it reads as "1610". I don't own this coin, but I'd like to!

It's very nice to see an example of this coin - is it for sale ?

I've always thought that errors of this magnitude must be made by very dozy die-cutters and incredibly incompetent mints.

After all, somebody had to alter a die, and then nobody checked it.

Almost unimaginable !

Someone has actually put this for sale on ebay.
The problem I see--they bought it for USD$253 in April, and now they want USD$1350 for it.
I prefer finding my varieties unattributed--and uninflated.
