Man I love the ballfields. I've dug seateds, halves, Barbers, IH's, V-nicks and silver galore, on the ballfields. Small town ballfields in use for hundreds of years lol. Last nite I got out for an hour and dug a bit of clad, not expecting this old 1864 "quarter". Was nice but corrosion has ruined it. It will soak for a month or so in mineral oil. Not using heated hydrogen peroxide because it will darken it.
