It is silver but heavly cleaned, maybe because it was in Manila bay for long time? Does anybody have more info about this interesting coin? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

U.S. and Philippine troops at the direction of the Philippine government dumped the silver coins in the bay to prevent the enemy troops from getting them. Report this Post to the Staff

IndianGoldEagle hit it right on the head. Most the Commemorative Peso pieces were also dumped in the bay.
