I have been wanting one of these since I started collecting Carthage coins. It arrived today and I am super dee'duper thrilled. I know in another thread someone was interested in the significance of the Horse on Punic Coins, but I thought that this horse needed its own thread...The coin is strange as there is no Tanit and the Horse is the obverse while the Palm tree and dates pick up the rear. Dominion of Carthage North Africa, Zeugitana, Carthage AE Unit 16mm x 2.29g c. 250-200 BC OBV. Pegasus Flying Left REV. Palm Tree with 2 Dates ref. rGCV 6530 Report this Post to the Staff
