Hello all, I have an 1885 newfoundland dime. It is my understanding that the mintage for this coin is approx. 8,000. With such a low mintage I would think this coin would have a higher value. Can anyone explain why it doesn't? Thanks.

Supply and demand, very few Newfoundland coins minted and God only minted a small number of Newfoundland collectors.

Thanks for the reply Zonad. I kinda' figured that. But you'd think with such a low mintage, there'd be more interest in the thing. Guess I'll have to figure a way to mint my own Newfoundland collectors....
