Excellent. Decentius coins are hard to come by, and with a Chi- Rho even harder. I only own one Decentius w/o the Chi- Rho. This one is in fine condition. Congrats. Also, I would say Trier mint, but not sure.

It is Arles mint. I just check Helvetica's and came up with RIC VIII Arles 197.

We have to recognize that Arles put the workshop letter first so TAR is 3 ARles. Trier put it last so we see TR for the city followed by the P or S for the two shops commonly used there. Each mint used their own scheme to format mintmarks. 21st century collectors have no rights to expect consistency.

Thanks! Quote: I think Constantine and the Magnentius have the large Chi- Rho..are there others? I think you mean Constantius II, not Constantine . His chi-rho reverses are the rarest of the bunch. And I think its just those three emperors.

Constantius II here TRP (Trier 1st shop) with rosette diadem and TRS (2nd shop) with pearl diadem If you really want the top of the line of these watch for a Magnentius from Amiens mint with full flan and good strike. They are beautiful and you will pay. http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=43495

Doug, very awesome.. , is the rosette diadem harder to find and is it harder to find it on any Constantius coin's.
