Well I just received an email that Santa is coming for Christmas. Not the real Santa, my Santa's Magical Visit - Holiday Coin (2012)coin from the mint. My only fear is he won't make it on time.
Thanks for ruining Christmas Canadian Mint.

Quote: Thanks for ruining Christmas Canadian Mint. Hope that depending on timely delivery of a 50 cent coin isn't the only thing the happiness of your Christmas hinges on!

I was being facetious. But it's not a very good business plan for the Mint to send out coins after the event they are designed for, like the Calgary Stamped coins or the Lucky Loonies being issued long after the events was over.
Either way in my case the coin is for my baby girl, born this year. So she won't really be able to appreciate for some time. So no great loss in my case. It's just seams really stupid to ship this coins so late. You would think the Mint would try harder. It just seams like they don't care.

Guys, I understand your frustration with this coin shipping. But in order to not destroy the Christmas (gift) - just visit one of the PO - I believe you will find this coin - and buy it.
It only $30, but you will be happy. I expected this delay and ordered the coin from CA -it arrives 2 weeks ago, but also seen the "Santa magical visit" at the POs.

I guess Dooby needed to but a winky face next to his comment? While purposely exaggerated, the point is valid. If the mint can't ship well before an event that they are marking, then they need to examine their business practices. Sure he could replace the coin at a dealer or PO but he shouldn't have to and I'm sure there are lots of others who ordered this coin that will not receive them for Christmas and that's just not right. On a positive note, the coin is very nice IMO and ...have a very Merry Christmas everyone!

Still waiting for my 5 penny set also. But that's not really a Christmas Gift. If we get the pennies next year maybe they will date them 2013. Probably waiting for the wooden boxes or something stupid that's totally out of their control. They have been having problems all year and still nothing has been done to improve things.

Dooby I'm not sure if you're serious about them dating the penny set 2013, I can promise you they won't.
