Very Cool!

Poseidon is probably my favorite Greek God. I love the water, and I love driving boats

Poseidon or Posidon is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon in Greek mythology. His main domain is the ocean, and he is called the "God of the Sea". Additionally, he is referred to as "Earth-Shaker" due to his role in causing earthquakes, and has been called the "tamer of horses".

Quote:
Poseidon was venerated at Pylos and Thebes in pre-Olympian Bronze Age Greece as a chief deity, but he was integrated into the Olympian gods as the brother of Zeus and Hades. According to some folklore, he was saved by his mother Rhea, who concealed him among a flock of lambs and pretended to have given birth to a colt, which was devoured by Cronos.

For the record => my Mum did the same thing for me ...

Jerry has traded Dolphins for Goats. Maybe he'll get in less trouble.

Nice coin, A-Dawg!!

Bing => yes, it seems that I haven't quite out-grown my "Flipper Phase" (dolphins rock!!)

NOTE => I also think that Poseidon's portrait is very cool (he looks pretty laid-back, sportin' his toque)

This coin I have had for a couple years, its a neat obverse, your reverse I think is nicer, as I am missing half a prong on mu trident.

I disagree. Noob's reverse is much nicer IMHO because it has a wonderful strike of the legend naming king Hieron. My example is more like Steve's with weak letters. It is amazing with ancients how you can get three coins all about the same grade but each very different.

Hmmm? ... well, I totally agree that A-Noob's coin kicks my coin's butt in the ol' legend-category ... but seriously, my coin owns the dawgs coin in symmetry and in overall "oh-yeah!!"

I stand by the following charter => my Mom is the sweetest Mom, my wife is the hottest girl in the world, and my coins are definitely the coolest coins (oh, and I hope everybody else follows the exact same charter!!)
