As some may not know the British denominations, both of these are predecimal crowns, or 5 shillings, which was a quarter of a pound (1 pound = 20 shillings). After the decimalization in 1971, 25 pence was called a crown, and a few commemorative ones of a traditional large size were issued (not for circulation).
