67s have lots of doubling - in Canada, the 1 cent, 1867, 1967, double date, double dove etc and thats just one side :)

There is an actual doubled die for this date on the obverse , the Machine Doubling stuff is very common .

Hi errorone
Anywhere that you know of that has a good pair of doubled obverse photos for comparison? I have a few 1967's which I always assumed were machine doubled, but I'd like to be sure.

I have a few of these in unc but I'm waiting till the market recognizes them for what they are . If they were an american cent with that kind of doubling , they would command a good premium but alas they are Canadian stuck in a market that doesn't recognize the difference between a true DD over Machine Doubling .

It is not that market is unable to tell the difference - quite the contrary with small cent variety collectors (me being one of them). It is just that either there are so few of us so there is no demand, or 1967 BU rolls are available in abundance, and we would rather hunt for them, or, in my case, we don't really care about an obverse DD variety...

The American variety market, and collector base, is so very much different than the Canadian market. For example, even with pictures published in the 59th edition Charlton variety section, how many collectors bother with the 1925 1-cent varieties with the different 5s?
