Recently I have been privately and publicly assailed by some folks about recent statements. I respectfully submit that they have contrived to mischaracterize both my motivation and my actions. I suspect that I incurred their wrath because I have asked some tough questions and made pointed facts that got to the heart of responsibility and accountability. I understand that some people may be uncomfortable with questions to which truthful answers could prove to most insightful and perhaps incriminating. Nonetheless, I have a deep commitment to the collectors of this hobby. I feel a strong responsibility as a dealer and hope to promote the merits of our hobby. To not evaluate and assess the merit and effectiveness of programs and offers would be irresponsible and unconscionable. I often get involved with issues because collectors come to me and ask for my help. I made a promise to ask questions and seek the truth and facts. My core principles and convictions drive me to do what I can. I know that making some statements may step on a few toes or ruffle some feathers, or even be politically incorrect, but that doesn't mean that the truth should not be told. I get chatised for my "over the line" or "out of bounds" statements. I respectfully disagree and believe that they should be made. Collectors have the right to know how the hobby/business works. I am involved because some collectors feel as if nobody cares about them. I will not turn my back on this hobby, nor will I pretend that these issues do not exist. It is without any hesitation or mental reservation that I accept complete responsibility for my actions and fully expect to be held accountable for the same. I am acting as an individual dealer on these matters and not on behalf of the hobby or any other entity. There is NO DOUBT in my mind whatsoever that my efforts will make this hobby safer and more enjoyable for all collectors!

This post is more for those "onlookers" who choose to read what I write, but too lazy to get involved in helping our hobby. I just want it perfectly clear that my statements are my own, and do not reflect those of the forum or anyone else. (legal disclaimer) I do my best to promote the good in this hobby while at the same time offering the truth to all that ask. There are enough secrets in the world. Some viewers like to keep tabs on what I say here. (Like they have nothing better to do). Amazes me to this day that I am such a popular guy. Anyways, for the members here, THANK YOU for allowing me to contribute. Please know that I do not wish anyone here to get caught up in any coin "scandel" directly or indirectly because of any statement that I may make.

ND. I honestly look forward to reading your posts with opinions & advice that you so graciously give here. After reading your post on this thread I believe you are not a part of the problem, you are part of the solution. Your honestly and candor will prevail over your adversaries. It usually does, it just takes a littler longer..

As what Susan said very well I concur and support-- To those that accuse you of other motives, Have you told them to F?/x off yet? Obviously you have peeps who are jealous of your knowledge and successful business practices, to those losers, the best thing to do in some cases and depending on who it is, is to delete, tear up, destroy there stupid comments and continue to do what you do!! As a veteran my friend, do not let the low life’s influence a successful practice of what you believe is an honorable way to do business--I for 1 support you and to those who complain against u I say up urs--

Boy, ND you are getting close to home with this statement, but its been too many jelly rolls and old age that is slowing me down now, not the will or choice. quote: Originally posted by national dealer

Any time you want to rumble, just let me know and I'll back you as long as I can stand there and give it out. I know it's easy to say "ignore them" but at the same time, it's about the best policy for not getting on a side track and forgetting your true aims. Guess, what I'm trying to say is as long as we have a first ammendment and I have ammunition, you don't need to worry about anyone succeding in shuting you down for what you say and believe. Give them hell!

ND, anytime someone or some organization attacks the purveyor of "truth", their true colors show through. The same applies to those who profess and seek to uncover the truth. You my friend are firmly entrenched in doing the second. Thanks for "steering" the ship through the "fog" towards the lighthouse! Your contributions to this hobby, the welfare of youngsters, willingness to share and teach and your contributions to this forum, speak volumes to all concerned about your integrity. Mike

Hi ND, I'm sorry to hear you've been privately criticised by some, and I haven't noted the public criticism. I have noted some posts by you that helped me to understand more about some aspects of the coin trade- in particular at the high stakes/investment level- to which I would otherwise be oblivious. And you have been exceedingly generous with your time and knowledge both with me personally, with others "here" and elsewhere, and with the public at large. As always-thanks for your efforts, and thanks for the education. Don

What "line" and what boundries? Freedom of speech knows no bounds. Therefore you have the right to say what you want, and they also have the right to say their opinion. Luckily, it doesn't stop you!

In this lawyer driven age. With so much finger pointing & finding someone to blame that seems to go on in this country today, I find it reassuring to hear a man say "this is where I stand & this is how I see it & I take FULL responsibility for MY actions"
I think my buddy Abe said it best, Quote; "I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him"
