I had this 1987D Lincoln over on the grading forum...HuskerFan mentioned how the D was tilted. Is it normal to have a tilted mintmark? I don't have many D coins living on the east coast, so I was wondering if any of you people living in the west could comment. Here's a pic:

Prior to 1990, the mint mark was applied by hand to each die so variations in position are to be expected. It is kinda funny to see a crooked one

Can't offer much help...Cherrypicker's Guide (4th edition, volume 1) doesn't list a tilted MM variety for that year.
