So there was this 29 oz. Maple leaf old pour J@M set in the plastic case up, via 10 oz. 7 oz. 5 oz. 4 oz. and 3 oz. bar or 29 oz. total....

It was setting at 1025 with 15 ship and I bid 1235 or 1250 total....

Of course I got past and it sold for 1260 plus the 15 ship or 1275 total or 43.96 per oz.....

I kind of wish I had gone more knowing that is easy a 2k set in better days. I saw Dr. Platinum sell one like it a few months back which didn't have the 10 bar and was only 19 oz., and it sold at 2k, lol....

Made me so mad I went and grabbed 35 oz. of silver town old pours, via 5 of the 5 oz. and one 10 oz. bar at about 35 per oz.. Not a great deal, but solid pickup at solid price as old pour "style" bars are tough to get at 35 per oz. (usually 42 is bottom buy it now on homemade bars on ebay even of the pour fashion) even when silver is at 30, or for me it seems to be anyhow....

I have a gut feeling the winter dip may be short as the spot price seems to be itching to start back up again....

Here is a link to 4 five bars at 712 or about 172 per bar, not the worst 5 oz. price for ebay....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/36051662586....m1438.l2649

This dealer has much nice silver via bulion and 90 percent and some nice gold all of which most of the gold is high like all gold but there are some decent silver deals, again for ebay....

35.60 doesn't seem like a bad price to pay per ounce on the bay. And I agree, silver just wants to shoot through the roof. ALright, add these to my xmas list!

I remember I was at a coin show in Orlando (FUN Show) - a dealer had these Silver towne 5 oz poured bars. And he only wanted $31 bucks per oz at that time (in Jan 2012) - I regret not picking those up....(7 of them)....

Shows are almost always the best place to buy. I will not be surprised if we get a chance to buy PM's lower in the next few weeks.

I really like the dimensions of those silvertowne bars! If I hadn't already placed a pretty big order on the dips we just enjoyed, I would be tempted to "buy it now" on those, even though I don't buy via ebay as a general rule.

I don't have any bars of any sort. I always read these threads about the old pours and can't believe the numbers you guys report them bringing. I can only remember seeing 1 at a LCS and they had it for $1.25 over spot. Unfortunately, it was a 79oz bar and was way out of my budget at the time. I'll have to keep an eye out for smaller bars.

Keep in mind you can get these 5z an 10z from Silvertown direct but after shipping the price figures out about the same.....

So if you buy four you get shipped fast in two days free ship or 172 a five bar. If you get only one it is 182 shipped.....

The fact I don't want to wait the typical 1 to 2 week shipping time from Silvertown-I would just assume pay a weee bit more an get the bars by Wed or Thursday....

An I have bought from that dealer before so I know it's sound silver an fast. In fact they shipped this morn on x-mas eve. Try an find that service at any of the big pm corps......
