Easily the Gothic Crown. For U.S. coins, I'm a big fan of the Peace dollar.

Lately, iv been taken with the Medieval English "angel" gold piece, with the image of St Michael slaying the dragon:

More of a bullion piece than a coin, but I think the Phillip Nathan designed Britannias are the most beautiful modern numismatic pieces. The 2003 is my favorite:
