i went out in the rain on Christmas eve and had some luck a Charles 11 crown and a Portuguese 4000 reis happy Christmas can any one help with there value please
finder: with bullion silver at around $33 per ounce, $50 for a Charles 11 crown even in this condition, ain't bad, so long as the farmer is happy with that.
I wouldn't even take a venture w/the reis. These are types found in ex-collections of Eliasberg & Ford. They contain 22 grains of gold & were used in colonial America, at a point. It was a $6. piece @ the time. Very nice.
From the land of the Bluenose.....great finds and a good accomplishment for a newbie. Best of luck in 2013. Never know might run into you as I go every year for 2 weeks detecting in the UK.
