Poll Question
I found four different First Day Covers for the Texas Commemorative and would like the CCF's opinion on which they like best. Thanks for your feedback! http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/9383a. FDC-1 b. FDC-2 c. FDC-3 d. FDC-4 *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I voted for number 4 for several reasons. There are four stamps, the postage cancellation ink is less prominent leaving more visual eye appeal and the address on the card is done by hand. More of a personal touch. Good luck!

No, the coin is symbollic to keep it in the "coin" section versus "philately" section.
Yes, the seller is asking $6 a piece.
Each one has it's desirabilites, #3 kinda drab, but informative.

I like them all, but chose D (FDC-4) for mostly the same reasons Dave did.

Very nice coin - thanks for sharing! I voted for #3 - I like the common design elements between the cover and the coin. I hope you enjoy whichever cover(s) you decide to purchase - they're nice tie-ins to the commemorative half-dollar. I only have one FDC for the Texas Centennial. It is the "Official" FDC for the opening of the Centennial Exposition. I read one time that there are hundreds of different FDCs for the Texas Centennial stamp. Seems like such a number could keep a collector busy for quite some time! (But not this collector! )

For $6 each I would purcahse all four. My vote FWIW is #3. Nice looking 1935-D Texas BTW. David

Number 4 has great eye appeal, balance, good motif. It has rhythm and rhyme. I wasn't aware of FDC's. Something more to collect when I move into commemoratives!

@oih82w8: Did you wind up purchasing the covers? If Yes, are you happy with them? Looking for more now?
