I must have been a very good boy this year, cause Santa was very good to me. It will take me some time to post all the coins I got, but I will start with this one: CILICIA, KORYKOS City Coinage, AE 19 France 1075, struck at Cilicia 100 - 30 BC OBV: Turreted head of Tyche right; A behind. REV: ΚΩΡΥΚΙΩΤΩΝ, Hermes standing left, holding caduceus, ΕΥ/ΕΠΙ/ΕΡ in left field 5.87g, 19.42 mm

The city of Ardos (Ardus) in Phoenicia minted large tets with the Obverse similar to that one one featuring good 'ol lady luck. Sidon minted the shekel with the Tyche obverse, in which I have one.

Quote: putzing ? I thought and still think this is a great coin, regarless of the metal. It's absolutely stunning in-hand. Silver? Did someone say silver? Hmmm, perhaps Santa might have brought something. Let me see.........

I know John. I think Anoob is trying to take up the slack left by Jerry. I'd like to see the coin you are referring to. It seems I am amassing a few Tyche coins.

Yea Eng thats the way to go. I have been eye balling the Ardos from a couple of dealers but they are always out of my price range. I saw one for a decent price from HJB but I was already committed on another piece and couldn't bid on it. If you can get it - get it I would.
