My son(11yrs)and I(60yrs)are new to the hobby and learning how to accurately grade our coins - some of which have been in the family for many years. His eyes are so much better than mine that we tend to disagree on what grade we think a coin should be(even when using a loup) I tend to be more (c)onservative while he(IMO)is too (l)iberal. We both feel the attached 1936 $1 is pretty good but don't really know. We figure if we can get your opinions it will help us better understand the system. We will upload other coins later for additional opinions to further sharpen our skills. For instance we have a 1948 $1 that we had graded by ICCS as AU50 but we (and others) had thought would be closer to AU55. If we can manage to photograph it through the flip we'll ask for your opinions. I have read in these forums that some people feel ICCS tends to grade low for key date coins so we'll see what you all think. Thanks David & Samuel
