I live in a tiny RV semi-boondocking park in the desert - 40 units (30 occupied) on 40 acres (we're well spread out, not packed tighter than sardines - see https://goccf.com/t/13388 which includes a pic of my park). The real snowbirds have mostly left for cooler climes (Alberta, NH, MT, WA, OR, Quebec, OH, NY, ND, etc) leaving the rest of us, mostly fulltimer RVers with easier access to the showers and laundry. I love them all, but they bring their home habits with them, especially lack of sensitivity on water usage - four loads of laundry per week for two people is a luxury our ground water supply can't afford. But laundry seems to be an obsession with some women. I'm the park's water system operator, but I can't seem to get the notion of water conservation across to them; it is not necessary to wash a towel or pair of blue jeans after one day's use. With total rainfall about 2" since last September, none of which made it into groundwater levels, our wellwater level has dropped another two feet in the past year. [/soapbox]
