Not my area, but I just checked 2 books and they say $35.00 in CH CU. Use a point of reference.

Maybe I'm missing something, and it may be hard to find in Germany but it would be a cold day in you know where before you could get $ 35.00 for it from a dealer or a collector.
It's a nice looking note and worth keeping if your trying to build a series year set of 10's but otherwise it's not worth much over face value. BTW, it's not a 1974-B, there were no 1974-B's issued, it's just a series 1974. Bill Collector

Getting book value doesn't happen often on more modern notes..Bill Collector is right! It's a very nice hi AU or CU...worth keeping ,,but probablly hard to get more than $15 here....Unless, someone needs it for their set. In my opinion

I understand ,that's only series 1974,not the year of printing ;) Thanks a lot for answers!I collect only types of the US currency and this will be a good example of this type 10 dollars bill :) Our sellers are crazy, they so often ask 15 euros for 10 dollars 2009 series :D It's so hard to get old series dollar's bills in top condition even for 15-20 euros in the part of Germany ,where I live (((

Lex1705, Being that you have over 50 post here maybe you could find someone to trade with on the forum. I don't doubt that it's hard to find US currency in Germany just like it may be hard to find German currency in the US. It would be great if you could find someone to trade with, you may want to post a note in the B S T section of the forum just to see what happens. Bill Collector

That's good news) But unfortunately I try not to buy currency out side of EU, because of customs. To send actual currency with a post is prohibit and germany's customs checks mail very often when a mail comes from out side of EU.

That's a shame, I have a lot of duplicate US bills that I'm going to pass on to who ever can use them, I would sooner trade them instead of just selling them for spending money.
There must be a way to do things like this that's within the law, many years ago I used to send different items to a lot of different country's that I traveled in and never had a problem, things must have changed a lot in the past 15 years or so. Anyway if you can figure a way how to do it within the law let me know and I'll be more that happy to send you some bills and work with you on a trade. Bill Collector

Hello! I am not a serious collector, I just like to collect old money when I come across it. I have a 1974 $10, with A2 on left front and A69 on the right, I'm sure it's not worth much more than its face value, would like to know if it's worth more than that to anyone besides me. It is not in the best condition, but, not the worst either.

ME071977, unless the 1974 $10 you possess has a fancy serial number and/or is in superb condition (no folds, minimal handling, paper feels new, etc) then I don't think there is a premium for such. I come across some 1974 $10s once awhile in circulation also but I never keep them.
