Here is an older interesting penny from the Bank of Lower Canada (Montreal ) according to what I've been told.

Sweet. I have always had a soft spot for these pre confederation bank tokens.

I also have this same token They are called "Bouquet Sous". The 1964 Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins Tokens and Paper
Money by J. E. Charlton identifies this on as a number 75, 18 leaves in wreath. There are 94 different varieties of this token. They were made around 1837.
