IMO nar, it's lacking wire rims on reverse , and wreath is not detailed enough for proof type 2 ,poor photos don't help, looks like it's had a clean too

I can't tell from the photos. In any case, the price shown from the Renniks, of $50000, is different to the $9000 in McDonalds (19th edition)
I think the rims are the best way to determine if it is a proof strike.

Hi I think it isn't for a couple of reasons firstly its on ebay, secondly if you look very closely at the hand of the rider on the horse it isn't at all very well defined I dont know about the Rim but I can tell you now he is lying about the book value being $50000 (i am pretty sure it is only a fraction of that) on the top of my head I think that is for a Specimen and third but not least he has only sold 10 things so far which makes it seem very suspicious that he would sell something that valuable on ebay. Personally I think it is just a regular Centenary florin which he is trying to pass of as proof like or possibly a fake the most important feature that leads me to this conclusion is the definition of the hand which if what he is saying is true should be very well defined (this is also a very good indicator of a fake)
Note also the obverse of the coin has been cleaned around EMPEROR.

Good work boys.. Everything that was said was along the lines of what I thought, I just kept asking myself.. would someone have the guts to list it as a proof if it wasnt a proof?! There's a huge difference in value. I guess so..

Sorry to join the discussion late .... I saw this one when he listed it (I think he has a 25 and 46 penny too). These he bought from peter wallace back a few months ago.
I noticed that he waited until the item aged enough for you not to be able to see them.

Funny how he's keen to sell them all so soon? (No aspersions).

The items were

320951340782 1925
320950041802 1946
320951361601 34/35

Unfortunately I can't find the old items to see how much he paid for them. I though they looked a bit dicky at the time. (Just my opinion).

Far out I hate it when people try to deceive others. Anyone with an ebay account please report this listing.

Whilst I reckon it all looks a bit .... off .... I'm not enough of an expert (nor have good enough eyesight) to be able to see if any of the items he has for sale is not what it says it is. The horribly unclear photos really don't help much either.
Don't worry OMF, there is no doubt he will get whatever he's due.
