It looks like this clipped dime blank was jammed in the counter.

I haven't checked ebay in years to see if they still have sellers that had access to purchase the errors found at the counting houses. This piece came from a lot of 100 pieces of damaged errors pulled from their equipment, with a average cost of $1.00 per error back in 2001.

That thing looks like mangled scrap metal but it is unmistakably CuNi clad.

I am amazed that these errors leave the mint. What happened to quality control?

On the upside, you have some pretty cool errors!
