I spent the previous three days at FUN, roaming the aisles for bargains. It's the largest FUN show ever; this, considering the number of dealers present and likely the attendance as well. As usual, I found dealer response mixed with regard to sales, but only a few were bemoaning their sales of higher-priced material. Interestingly, I heard that a hobo nickel sold at auction for $24,000! Some lucky "bum" must be grinning over this development.

I ended up going to FUN on Thursday w/ a group from our central FL coin club. As ExoGuy said, this year's show had the most dealers ever. Was a big crowd there also.

I was specifically looking for Civil War & merchant tokens and ended up buying 4 really nice examples to add to my collection. One was an ex J Dettinger example .

I stopped by the CCF booth and met Vermontensium, Bobby131313, Sue (can't remember her log-on name) & SuperDave. It was nice to be able to put the faces to the names... They are all REALLY nice people. In a hobby dominated by older collectors, it is definitely nice to see some younger collectors devoted to furthering the hobby! Keep up the good work guys.
