Latest Spink gives EF £325 BU £800
My latest Collectors Coins GB EF £180 BU £320
A bit concerning about the differences
I would also worry about the blast white tone,it isn't right.

That should retail at half that price. If it's a private sale then look out for a guy wearing a mask, a striped jumper and carrying a bag marked SWAG

I haven't any catalogues of that era;
and I note the comments about "blast white tone" and cleaning;
but note the clarity of the fields - not even a bag-mark -
and the lack of wear on the high points - the various elements of the CoA and laurel, and the Queen's hair:
if this isn't "Unc", then I'm wondering - what is ?
That said, I'd like to know more about the obverse blemish.

High grades attract higher prices, and as you go up the grades, the price increases are exponential.
The investors (and I'm not one) tell us that your money is safest in the highest grades.

Gem aUnc

Little wear in the hair...

Perfect AU-58*....
If it wasn't dipped (although it might grade problem free depending on how the luster is)

It is being bought not in the hand.Call the dealers bluff on the cleaning.I have only a few slabbed coins but that is one to put through the paces.If it was from a known trusted dealer maybe with a good refund policy...maybe.
It is a common coin.

Peter, the picture is unclear and in fact looks more like an illustration, but I'd be surprised if the surfaces around the obverse bust had not been whizzed.

I didn't think "whizzing" could eliminate dings or bagmarks, but maybe I'll have to stand corrected on that ?

True that. It can shift bag marks but not serious dings.
