I don't know for sure which coin it is (exactly) I think it is this one http://www.forumancientcoins.com/ca...asp?vpar=425
, but I am not completely sure thought...I was wondering how much it is worth. I dont plan on selling it, but I just want to have an idea.
I found this coin 15 years ago on a hidden beach spot, in Portugal. It makes sense since Portugal was part of the Roman Empire, but still I think it is really rare.

Anyways, here is the pic:
How-Much-Money-Is-This-Worth,-And-How-Rare-Is-It?
The quality is bad because my camera cannot properly focus this close to the coin. I cant do a proper macro, so yeah. The coin has never received any cleaning, ever, I think if I clean it everything will be more visible, but what should I clean the coin with?

Wish we had better pictures, from what I can tell the coin appears to be a Dupondius of what looks like the emperor Antoninius Pius 138-161 AD. It might also be the emperor Hadrian 117-138 AD, would need better pictures to be able to tell for sure. In the coins condition value isn't very much.

Not sure why this coin might be cobsidered rare. Looks like Antoninius Pius to me.

Rare in the sense people probably don't often find ancient coins at the beach? That's how I see it

I have to agree with Bing. A bronze of Antoninus Pius.

I agree with the Antoninus Pius, Dupondius analysis. I think that the reverse is Aqeuitas. From the images I don't think that there is anything to clean as the coin is essentially back to the bare metal.

Possibly something like this:-

Alright, thank you guys! Anyways, I will ofc keep it! It's really rare to find this in the beach and I love the feeling that I am holding a coin with thousands of years and which was already taken by several people from the past ;) Some unlucky roman guy must of dropped it in the ocean, or at the beach :P

Wixnarara,

Have you ever been back to that beach to see if anything else has ever washed ashore?
