I have had an opportunity to buy a load of sovereigns and half sovereigns recently, but I'm no where near rich enough for that stuff.

1905- half sovereign F
1982- half sovereign VF
1914- half sovereign F

2000- half sovereign VF-UNC- STILL IN CASE
1979- half sovereign VF

Most dates grey sheet at about $410 (full sovereign). That is in the U.S. where most foreign gold is traded at bullion prices...

The bullion value of the lot is around £3440 however in the UK the numismatic value would be quite a bit higher depending on the grade.

I would estimate the numismatic value in the UK would be around £4500-5000, £6000 is way to much.
