lincsus Valued Member United States 200 Posts	Posted 01/13/2013 12:04 am I have been collecting silver for some time now. Recently thought about buying some gold. Recently bought some foreign 90% gold coins a little below spot value. Coins I bought are around 1/4 oz gold which suits me as I don't have money for full oz coins and bars. Is it a good strategy to accumulate gold or is foreign gold too risky? Report this Post to the Staff

yup7676 Pillar of the Community United States 3789 Posts	Posted 01/13/2013 01:03 am Well, Ima not to sure about south american coins, gold and silver either, however I have bought proof gold coins from South Africa and Australia as an example so buying foreign gold isn't a bad buy. angel2004 Pillar of the Community United States 2168 Posts	Posted 01/13/2013 12:51 pm I recently saw a gold chain (new and not junk jewelry) with a 1 gram weight for basically spot cost. I wondered if getting a few would be worth it. They do have a easy weight and were basically available for spot. I thought they had an intrinsic gold value plus a jewelry value. Just wonder what anyone thinks about this type of 'investment' I had read of the gold cards that crack off 1 gram pieces that pretty much cost more than spot. Report this Post to the Staff
