Hi,

I have three coins like this....I think that are 1952 1/2 Afghani.

Is-This-A-1952-1/2-Afghani-Afghanistan-Coin?

Is-This-A-1952-1/2-Afghani-Afghanistan-Coin?

Also, any idea why the piece of metal is soldered to the top of the coin? Each that I have appears to have had this done to it.

Thanks,
Ken

This coin is indeed a ½ Afghani, I think from either 1952 or 1953 (I cannot see the date).

Here is an example of the coin:

Someone probably soldered the metal to it to have it wearable on a chain.
