Now that I see good pictures of this one I really think they (this coin plus the 1937 Philly posted a few minutes ago) were plated. See the dull white looking areas between the legs? Hmmm.

I think there is a bit of wear on the cheekbone and the bison's hip but with all that luster, it would probably grade AU-58.

I think what looks like wear is actually just due to strike. I think it's MS63-MS64 range.
