Now I see why people even bother listing these!

I respectfully disagree with P.T. Barnum. I think the evidence is unarguably clear that there are a whole lot more than just one born every minute.
Rest in Peace

This seller's latest feedback is for a roll just like this one. An "S" Indian reverse and VDB reverse. What are the odds that random rolled unsearched coins would happen twice like this?

Why? He sold an identicle item in Nov; that fetched him $430. He has a variety of these rolls.

If you guys view the sellers feedback and click on "Feedback as a Buyer", it shows all of the items that this ebay user had bought. It appears that he/she buys in a lot of loose wheat pennies especially those of better dates (1909).
My advice is to avoid any listings that contain the words "estate, un-searched, and rhetorical one worded questions such as silver? gold? rare?. If there would be any, the seller would certainly tell us to increase the maximum potential of the final selling price.

In addition, when buying bulk coin lots, pay close attention to the coins represented in the photos. Are the valuable ones centered in the middle? or are they hidden by other coins.
If you're able to spot a valuable coin somewhere in the lot that is either not centered in the photo, I call these lots un-searched.

"Please bid as high as you want to win the roll"
Nahh...I'll just buy a well-worn 08-S and 09 VDB--same thing.

CanadianCollector,

Why would someone bid on this?

Why do people climb Mt Everest? Why do they sail around the world in a 21 foot sailboat? Why do fools fall in love? Why ask why? Bud Dry. Some people just don't get it and they never will. I hope they're not burning through their retirement fund or lunch money. I had a friend who would put a few drops of water in a mason jar and let it create condensation on the inside, then sell it on ebay as a 'Ghost in a Jar.' People actually bought them.
