I recently bought this double sealed 62 Proof set. Of course the coins inside had broken through mint packaging. Cool thing is all silver coins are cameos, but the penny is green! Anyone ever heard of a green proof penny? Even the nickel has a few little green spots.

No evidence of water on envelope and it was in a sealed clear package to keep the environment away

Dip in acetone will usually take it off.

Verdigris film, the coin has been ruined. These are inexpensive, not worth the effort of attempting conservation. You're better off to just replace the coin.

IMO, acetone will have no effect.

Thanks all. Really did not care about the penny, just thought I'd get it out there. The half, quarter & dime are frosty, so for $30 bucks
think I made a good deal
