Hello, everyone

We found this note in some family items and have tried to find it and its value to no avail. It certainly looks Japanese but all of the notes that I can find don't show this guy on the front, but are obviously of a similar style around the 1950s. I know occupation may factor in this as well, so I would like to ask if anyone can help identify our note and have any background info, so that we can have the story behind it and be able to find a value so that we can catalog it in with the rest of the collection
