Die chip. I don't see them on the loonies as often as on the nickel or plated coins, though.

I would say so, at least until you find out what it's worth or whether you want to keep it for good. Not everybody likes or collects die chips, but there are certainly those that do. I don't collect loonies myself but there are those on this site who do and they could give you an idea of value. I like die chips if they're large enough or have an unusual placement -- and your loonie with the "Queen's wart" die chip has nice novelty appeal. For that reason alone if it was a 2005 penny (I loves me my pennies!) I'd be all over it like a bear on honey.

thanks I will see if my buddy wants it he collects silver dollars,,heres a 2000 pennie that he gave me it has a die chip on the last 0
