 Magnus Maximus AE2 OBV: DN MAG MAXI-MVS PF AVG, Pearl-diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right. REV: REPARATIO REIPVB, Emperor standing left, raising kneeling female. mintmarks PCON, SCON and TCON known. REF: RIC Arles 26 The seller wanted $21 for it. Asked for $15 and got it. I'm going to see if cleaning this coin will help it any. Either way, it's a hole filler for now. Should be on it's way in the mail. I also got a Fausta for the same price that is also a filler.

I hope it cleans up at least a little bit. When I get the coin, I'll figure out how aggressive I want to be with the coin. If the legends and devices are low relief and highlighted by the dirt, I won't mess with it.

Was going to bid in the last minute (and be the only bidder as it would have turned out), but that's when my phone decided to glitch on me  I'm still a bit  over it. |

That is a neat coin! I would try some distilled water and some tooth brushing, but, I kinda like it a lot the way it is:) OK maybe a month in olive oil  |

 My scanner does not like this coin either. It looks better in hand but is low grade like the Fausta. I'm going to hold off on cleaning it since it looks better in hand. |
