Are you looking at one to buy for $12, or valuing yours?
If your asking what yours is valued at it'd be really hard to say without pics.
If your looking to buy one, to me numismedias prices are kinda high... (Although there usually closer than RedBook), but I'd check completed ebay listings to see what they've actually been selling for. You can get them in really good circulated condition for around $5. To me $12 seems a bit high.
You might have to do some shopping around and wait until you find a deal, I wouldn't say its typical, but for example I picked this one up for $4.. I just snapped quick pics with my phone, but you get an idea of grade & the deals that can be found. (The pics are blurry, but it has full wheat lines, full jaw.. Although it does have a rim ding). There's a few nice ones at my LCS in really decent circulated condition for $5-$7 also.
