Non Magnetic, weight 36.6gr, Diameter 45 mm.
It does not fit in with the Thaler coin diameter or weight, is this a fake? a medal? Is it silver?. Please suggest any information.

I have one but mine is different. Mine is 42mm in diameter; it was bought in Vienna in the 1980's at a Numismatic shop so I presume it would be real but here are the pictures of my thaller for you to compare.

Here an entry devoted to your specific Maria Theresa thaler forgery. Yours has the reeded edge, as opposed to the Chinese (!) usually found as edge lettering.

Thank you both for your help. I take it that is a cheap forgery of some alloy silver plated. Just the weight seems far to high to be just copper. Very disappointing

Still a good teaching tool! The first clue for me: the lettering was applied to the genuine dies with individual letter punches. Yours has letters that vary; see the E's in THERESIA? They were all cut in by hand. And the strangely oversized diameter that you picked up on is actually typical for this very counterfeit.
Where's Steve Caruso? Make calinka here feel better!
