CanadianCollector Valued Member Canada 306 Posts	Posted 02/17/2013 10:11 am 1996 polar bear was the normal circulation toonie for that year so they are not rare. 1999 is rare because the polar bear was only in mint sets, all of the circulation ones were a Nunavut commemorative design. Cdn: 1938 George VI Penny U.S: 1936 Wheat cent When I was back in grade school I once dug up a VERY worn quarter while camping that we couldn't make the date out on but we could barely make out Victoria on the other side.
