I'm gonna say $4.1M. The economy has recovered since the sale of the Olsen specimen, so there's surely a hedge fund manager out there interested in paying top dollar for an ego piece.

It's graded by PCGS, if I do end up getting it , how do I get a CAC sticker ? And do you think that will increase it's value ?

denco7, if you get this coin you won't need to go to them. CAC will come to you.

Ryan Myers, who is executor for his mother's estate, said a family attorney had heard of the famous 1913 Liberty nickels and asked to see it. "He looked at it and he told me he'd give me $5,000 for it right there," he said, declining an offer he could not accept without his siblings' approval.
THAT'S A family attorney THAT SHOULD BE DIS-BARRED!

The sale is not until April 25th. I guess I started this thread about 11 weeks to soon. I'll have jbuck remind me to resurrect this thread when it gets closer to the sale date.

On a side note, how would I get a copy of the Auction Catalogue for the sale this coin is in?

The catalog would probably be available through the Heritage Auction House in Schaumburg. My guess it will be pricey, maybe 50 dollars.

It will be interesting, you gotta know Legend and Blanchard and the other heavy hitters already have buyers lined up.

The Walton coin has, in my opinion, such a great story that it overcomes any grade issues... as if there are grade issues on a mintage of five... on random planchets.

So anyway, I say... $3.3 mill

I was going to guess $3.25 million but specksnyder beat me by 5 minutes at $3.3 million. My guess is without the buyer's premium.
