I agree with John1. Strike Doubling which is MDD ( Machine Doubling damage). Not a DDR. Actually fairly common. More so in the 1970's era for Canadian cents.

See # 14, on coinsandcanada list : I beleive that this error, " Die shift ", is more interesting and not so common like # 11.

For the premium, I think yes, but if you want to sell this coin, you will see the real interest of collectors, on ebay.

hi I believe yours look like like this one I have seen this effect on 1989 pennies also

Nice doubling on your 1943, eddio. You can sometimes find the exact same doubling in the same places on the 1942, as well. Looks like yours also has a die clash "half moon" by the right leaf, and a line clash running from the top of the 4 to the bottom of the left leaf. 2 different types of error on one coin! Sweet!
