Okay - heres my latest buy! I didnt expect to get this even with my top bid.

Here they are - one of the siliquae is snapped in half - I wont try repairing it, but ill keep them together.

Okay then - let forth your opinions and take a guess about how much I paid!

P.S. Looks like a barbarous radiate and an alright radiate thrown in - they'll be fun to clean up as an added bonus!

Siliquas are always interesting, even the ones cut in half, which was a common practice here in southern Britain. Good catch!

Hi I think the piece of siliqua in the upper right is a magnus maximus.....I read DN MAG MAX...isn't it?

Giano - you are correct! I only bothered looking at them afterwards - it looks like a Constantius II 'VOT XXX MVLTIS XXXX' and a Magnus Maximus 'VIRTVS ROMANORVM'. Pretty good for £3.50 ($5.50)!

I also like how the only bit of the Mag surviving on the obverse is a ful ROMANORVM. Pretty cool.
