Looks cleaned to me, but I can't say why. Just "looks cleaned" does not satisfy my desire to learn.
What say you guys? Cleaned? Not Cleaned?
Photos not good enough? They are all I have . . . .
MM looks OK to me as well. You guys agree?
Please venture a grade as well if you would.
Thanks a bunch,

I won't give a grade. I don't study quarters.
What I can offer are techniques that I use when I have a coin in hand.
Do not always use one light source. Bright, natural sunlight is useful.
Rotate the coin. Holding it by the edge or in a holder, lift up each edge of the coin. From 12
around the (analog) clock to 12 again. This will often reveal tiny scratches or an unnatural
break in luster if luster is present.

I did notice that the feathers on the eagle's chest are strong. Nice to see that.

A Washington expert will be along t offer further help.

Oh, the mint mark should match the rest of the coin. By that I mean a "sharp" mint mark on a coin that is otherwise a low grade is suspicious. Yours looks OK to me as well.

the lighting on your photo makes it impossible to tell if its cleaned or not. does it have luster? does it look burnt out? is that rub on the cheek? looks like an AU-55 or so to me.

Given different lighting scenarios my guess is you can make this coin look quite different.
With the lighting and photo provided I would say original, toned, and MS.
Try a picture that satisfies what you see in hand. I'm guessing to much glare with this pic.
Certainly not harshly cleaned and definitely a high grade coin.

I collect BU Washington's. Just put 3 up here to be graded and all came back MS63-65 no cleaning. The lighting on yours makes it hard to see if its been cleaned or not. I might say it looks lightly polished or dipped but usually that fills in the D mint mark. Dead giveaway on D mints. A light polishing will only hurt if you send it to a third party grader anyway. Take it outside in the sunlight and take some pictures. Try using a dark felt cloth for background. I'm posting one of my images so you can see how it shows up. On yours the breast feathers are really nice on the reverse, it does have a little gouge on the outer left wing. Other than those remarks until we could see a better image that coin looks about MS 63-65. My 32-D is nowhere near yours. Nice coin.

Just my opinions
