Recuperating from an operation, I asked the wife to fetch me some coins from where I keep them

3-Ounce-Chiasso. Such a shame to not have them available all the time.
Was like Christmas. Forgot I had a lot of these items. Here is a 3 oz Swiss Chiasso. Anyone know if they are still being made?

Forgive the layout. This was my first attempt to upload a picture. Why did the writing get separated?

I'm not sure if they are still being made. But I just picked up a 2 ounce chiasso bar a couple weeks ago from my LCS , I really like them.

I don't recall ever coming across a 3oz minted bar 999.0, must be pretty old. . .nice!

I also have one of these and picked it up for spot +$1 at my LCS awhile back, posted here:

These things do command a premium on ebay.

Good luck and nice pickup!

Thanks to all who responded. I've had this for quite awhile, so was curious if they were still being made. Thanks tripncoins for the link to your post. I wasn't around then. I'll have to go to ebay and check out the current situation. I'm not much of a big premium fan, so if it is worth a lot more than spot, well............

OK Back from ebay. Under completed auctions 5 sold for high of $177.50, $152.50, $122.75, $122.50, and $109.25 ea for lot of 4.
Currently for sale are 3 with prices of $257, $247, and $217.77 ea (for lot of 10) all include "make offer". I put these on watch to see what happens. Those prices seem quite out of line from the previous realized prices.
I looked at the description of each auction, hoping someone might offer some history or other informaion about these bars. Sadly none did.

Kudos on the 3 oz. Chiasso bar, we are alumni. We should start a club. 3 ounces is kinda odd size bar if you think of it. I think yours is in better shape than mine. Been thinking about taking the bar to my local used CD shop and have them buff the scratches out of it.
