That makes perfect sense to me. Don't forget there were a tone of MC orders with free shipping. Someone's got to pay for all that free shipping. $7.99 + tax seems a little high for a role of pennies. I would have expected closer to $4. Oh well just buy some dino coins tomorrow and combine ship the pennies. Oh, on a side note. Google did a nice tribute to the penny today.  Edited by Dooby Rak

Notice it's a one-of-a-kind 2013 penny? For those in Ottawa, is the Mint boutique selling the penny roll? mint.ca says 'awaiting stock' in store but I wonder if that's accurate. Would consider getting a second roll but not for >$20 shipped. |

It is quite sad for the public, having to pay 10$ more for shipping for a 10$ roll of pennies worth 50 cents, I might aswell ask my dealer if he has any, he has a friend who has very strong ties with the Mint, whenever a circulation pack went out he would get them in three days. I at least don,t pay double, I save 10 so I may buy two instead of 1.

Despite being overpriced, it seems that a lot of us collectors are throwing a roll in the on-line cart. There is plenty of buzz in the media today so I suspect non-collectors will be buying rolls as well. 20k isn't really a lot to go around. |

Just wait until tommorow morning and combine with Dino's or something else to lower the shipping pain.
