3003P Old Port penny, Canada stopped making penny in 2012 and we will not live that long to see 3003.

I would like to know as well. I have never heard this term before? Maybe the OP is refering to the old effigy since 2003 saw two different obverse designs.

If I am correct in this, then I would have to say that I have not heard of any "P" zinc pennies, other than 2005P, and 2006P like Bm0ney said.

I do check all pennies from 1999 until 2006 for composition.

Thanks guys, I have never herd of one but a guy was telling me he knew of one. I would think by now they would have showed up.
PS, sorry for the typo, 3003 should be 2003.

Sorry for not answering the question regarding OP. This is the change over from the Old Portrait of the Queen to the New Portrait. The produced them in both Zink and Steel, the "P" being on the steel strikes. The Zink has no mint mark.
hope I got that right.
Bry.

Hmmm...2003P non-magnetic? OK...Where did I put my magnet. Time to bust them out and have a look. I never bothered to test them. I used to check all 2002 - 2011 cents with a magnet as I went through the boxes. I figured if it could happen in 2006, 2007, 2010...why not in other years with so many different varieties being minted. I guess I will have to start again. Just makes the process a bit slower.
