Delivery Confirmation no longer has adequet protection/gaurantee that your coins will get where intended. I've had 2, 1 a box of 5c vanish. you are made the idiot at the P.O; and they assure your "no thieves work for us". Packages are delivered empty, re-taped, shorted, or just unaccounted for at various transport points. There is no recouse. You are given #s to the post inspector, fraud, even lost & found. Solution? Many think insurance will be cost prohibitive. I was very surprised to find out, $200. worth of insurance is only $1.95 & that includes a tracking #. So let's be a little more cautious. I dont mind the extra buck, particularly when dealing/trading w/someone from CCF. The USPS will be forever on my naughty list, but we have few options. Just a heads-up. Like every other business, USPS is pushing too few people, too hard. Mistakes are happening. DC does cover you with regard to ebay, but it's been a long time since I didn't insure a shipment. The trouble is, the extra cost is tough to justify for low-dollar sales, yet another recommendation against that business model. Report this Post to the Staff

Delivery Confirmation has NEVER provided protection or a guarantee that your coins will get to where you send them. DC is totally worthless because all it does is verify that the package was delivered "somewhere". It does NOT confirm that it was delivered to the address it was sent to. frankly no one would use DC except for one thing. If an ebay seller is shipping a package less than $200, they DON'T buy DC, and the package goes astray, it is an automatic win for the buyer if he makes a claim. If he does buy DC it is an automatic win for the seller if the buyer claims non-delivery even if it never gets to the buyer. As far as a security feature for mail delivery DC is and always has been a joke. Report this Post to the Staff

Obviously stated by someone that does not read newspapers, watch the news on TV or listen to the news on the Radio. I cracked up laughing when I read that remembering how many times postal workers have been found with mountains of undelivered mail.
