Just got this satirical medallion today and wanted to show it off, was wondering if anyone had other examples of joke/satirical coins or medals to share.

Is that brass? If so it is the first I've seen, usually bronze.

The legends seem to be in Latin, and I don't know enough to translate it.
I don't recognize the first effigy, which I suppose is probably a caricature.
The second effigy appears to be wearing a pontifical crown, so I suppose that is some sort of reference to a Pope, or perhaps the Pope at the time the token was made.
Very interesting: I look forward to more knowledgeable people adding their comments.
