Im still in the learning curve with coins and only recently became aware that there are magnetic pennies and was wondering if they are worth collecting?

Lots of years 1999-2012 there are both types of material used to make cents.
Copper plated zinc or copper plated steel.
Certainly some are scarce or only released in mint sets.

There are literally just a couple that are exceedingly valuable. Check the thread on the 2005P non-magnetic. And check the 2006 varieties at http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...nt-1965-2013 . Other than that you're talking MS66+ before there is a noticeable difference in price one way or the other.
